Miss Corina Tedeschi 135 and a couple of ed toons

.

It read in The Miami Herald: It is us against the snails.

A little drama isn't bad for the headlines, some say, but this time Miami authorities have reason to worry.
Giant African Snails invading areas of the city can carry a virus causing a non-fatal type of meningitis, among other things.

The other plague in Miami?

Check it out here.

Ah, the budget's cuts.

And Miss Corina Tedeschi, number 135 of the Second generation.

Breakfast she wrote.

Miss Corina Tedeschi 134 and ed toons

.

More Miss Corina Tedeschi, of course.

You can check here in Comics Showcase to see more of this and the Understanding Chaos strips too.

Here in this link is the other one I did with the same theme, this one used in El Nuevo Herald in its version in Spanish.

Miss Corina Tedeschi 131

Yeah, it was a variation of a Understanding Chaos strip.

But who's going to tell her?

Not me!

More ilos and... well, one caricature

This is Cuban singer/composer Pablo Milanés.

An amazing voice.

He was a staunch supporter of  the Cuban Revolution, but lately, despite saying that he's still a leftist and a revolutionary man at heart (two things that don't sit well at all with Cuban hardliners exiled in Miami) he has criticized the Cuban government and his officials in interviews.

He was one of the few artists who in 2003 refused to sign a letter handed by the Cuban government seeking  approval among its well known intellectuals to carry  the death sentence of three young men that tried to kidnap a small boat to escape to the states.

He performed in a concert at the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami amid protests of all kinds.

All made in Adobe Illustrator, like the other two ilos.

More of the same

Toons from the last couple of days.

Some appeared in El Nuevo Herald, some didn't.

Definitely, Muammar is stealing the show.

More ilos and toons.

It was only a matter of time that Miss Corina Tedeschi would appear in vector fashion.

She'll thank me later.

And speaking of the devil...

In times like these...

Editors haven't noticed, but these are good times for cartooning.

Take note.

Ah, yes... more vector ilos.

Sorry!
